Create your calendar

1. Pick a template

A set fills all 24 doors with messages, vouchers, sayings and animations. Then change whatever you like.

2. Who is the calendar for?

Calendar picture

3. The 24 doors

Tap a door to change it.

4. Preview and give

After purchase you get two links by email: your management link and the link for the recipient. Available until 24 December; the calendar stays online until 31.01.2027 and is then deleted with all content.

For many grandparents the best part of Advent is hearing from the grandchildren. With Plus for €9.99 you can put your own photos and videos of up to 30 seconds behind the doors: a drawing, a first poem, a hello from the playroom. Photos can be JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, videos MP4, MOV or WebM. Photos are resized on upload so they load quickly on a phone.

Using it is deliberately simple. Grandma and grandpa tap the link you send them by messenger or email, and the calendar opens in the browser. There is no account and no app. If they like, they can enter their own email address on the recipient page for the reminder “Your door is waiting” and confirm it. Missed days can be caught up on at any time.

If your grandparents prefer another language, you can switch the fixed texts on the recipient page. There are 17 languages to choose from, including German, Polish, Turkish, Croatian, Romanian, Hungarian and Italian. Your own messages are written in whatever language your family uses. The grandparents template set and the Fireside Room theme give the calendar a warm frame. This is handy if you live abroad and the grandparents live in Germany.

Vouchers work well for things that tend to get lost in everyday life: a Sunday visit, help clearing the snow, an afternoon with the photo album. When grandma or grandpa taps “redeem”, you see it in your management link. It also shows you which doors have been opened. That way you know the calendar has arrived without having to ask.
