Give a digital advent calendar as a gift
A digital advent calendar is a gift you send as a link, by messenger or email. The recipient opens it in a browser on a phone or computer, with no app and no account. From 1 to 24 December a new door is waiting there every day.
Create your calendar
1. Pick a template
A set fills all 24 doors with messages, vouchers, sayings and animations. Then change whatever you like.
2. Who is the calendar for?
3. The 24 doors
Tap a door to change it.
4. Preview and give
After purchase you get two links by email: your management link and the link for the recipient. Available until 24 December; the calendar stays online until 31.01.2027 and is then deleted with all content.
A gift that arrives without a parcel is not tied to an address. The link works in the next town just as well as on the other side of the world, which makes it easy to surprise someone in Germany or anywhere else. You do not need the recipient's email address, you only need a way to send them the link. When you send it is up to you: the evening before 1 December, or tucked into a message along with a Christmas card.
It is not too late in mid December either. You can buy the calendar until 24 December. If you send it after 1 December, all doors up to the current day are open straight away and the rest follow day by day. If the recipient misses a day, they can catch up on that door later. Nothing is lost when a busy weekend goes by without a look at the calendar.
One door opens each day on German time, with a small opening animation. Behind it is whatever you prepared: a message, a saying, a pixel animation with the recipient's name or a voucher card. Vouchers have a “redeem” button, and both of you can then see which ones have been used. Your management link, which we email to you after checkout, also shows you which doors have been opened.
The recipient can set up a reminder if they like. The email “Your door is waiting” is only sent if the recipient enters their own address and confirms it, and they can unsubscribe at any time. The calendar pages are not listed in search engines. On 31 January 2027 the calendar is deleted automatically, including all photos and videos. A report button is available for inappropriate content.

Questions and answers
How do I send the digital advent calendar?
After checkout you receive a link for the recipient. You send it on by messenger or email.
Do I need the recipient's email address?
No. You only pass on the link, and you never have to enter the recipient's address.
Can I still give it in December?
Yes, until 24 December. All doors up to the current day open immediately.
What if the recipient lives in another time zone?
Doors open at midnight German time (Europe/Berlin). Someone in New York, for example, sees the new door at 6 pm the evening before.
Can I see whether my gift is being opened?
Yes. Your management link shows which doors have been opened and which vouchers have been redeemed.
How do you handle photos and videos?
Location data (EXIF) is removed from photos and photos are resized. The calendar pages are not listed in search engines, and there is a report button for inappropriate content.
How long does the calendar stay online?
Until 31 January 2027. After that it is deleted automatically, including all photos and videos.
Which languages are available?
The fixed texts on the recipient page come in 17 languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Czech, Turkish, Hungarian, Romanian and Croatian. The editor is available in English and German.
Which time zone do the doors follow?
German time. Each door opens at midnight in Berlin (Europe/Berlin), so for a recipient in London that is 11 pm the evening before, and in New York 6 pm.
What if I give it after 1 December?
All doors up to the current day are open right away, and the rest open day by day. You can buy until 24 December.
Is it a subscription, and can I try it first?
It is not a subscription: you pay €4.99, or €9.99 for Plus, once. Before that you can open a free preview with a watermark and without checkout, which lasts 24 hours and cannot be given as a gift.
Can I change the calendar after buying?
Yes. In your management link you can edit any door that has not been opened yet, and the test view shows you all doors in advance.
Which files can I upload?
With Plus, photos as JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC up to 15 MB and videos as MP4, MOV or WebM up to 20 MB and 30 seconds. Up to 200 MB per calendar in total.
