Bad Mitterndorf (seit 1. Juli 1972; bis 1951 Mitterndorf, 1952–1972 Mitterndorf im Steirischen Salzkammergut) ist eine Marktgemeinde mit 4964 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Jänner 2025) im steirischen Salzkammergut in Österreich. Im Rahmen der Gemeindestrukturreform in der Steiermark wurde sie per 1. Jänner 2015 mit den beiden Gemeinden Pichl-Kainisch und Tauplitz zusammengeschlossen. Das Gemeindegebiet umfasst seitdem das gesamte Hinterberger Tal.
Bad Mitterndorf (German:) is a town in Salzkammergut in the Austrian state of Styria.
Situated between Salzburg and Graz, it is a popular winter sports resort and also as a location for walking and cycling in the summer. Bad Mitterndorf is the site of two health spas with thermal baths, an outdoor swimming pool and other health amenities, cafés and leisure areas. The town hosts a children's club during the holidays.
